Conference Organizer: Kimber Tower
Kimber began her babywearing journey in 2002, when her first child was born. Not knowing much about babywearing at the time, but feeling it was a good thing, she wore a too big baby carrier. When her second child was born, Kimber decided to research babywearing more and found The Babywearer. She also learned about pouches and bought her first pouch, a Hotsling. She wore it, loved and a babywearing fanatic was born. From then on, Kimber has made it her mission to educate those around her of the benefits of babywearing. She started a business with the help of her sister and designed the Ball Baby Overall mei tai. Kimber recently sold her business in order to focus on babywearing advocacy. Kimber was an instructor at the 2008 International Babywearing Conference in Chicago. She was the only attendee from Idaho. Kimber is thrilled to help plan the 2010 conference here in Idaho where she hopes the local community will gain more understanding for the important skill babywearing is. She also hopes to see many of her online friends from around the world and learn from some of the wisest members of the babywearing community. Contact Kimber
