Jan Andrea Heirtzler of sleeping baby productions has been sewing since high school, and sewing slings since just before the birth of her first child, Stephen, in 2000. After bringing Stephen to work with her for a year, she started a business she could run from home with Stephen (in a sling) at her side. As her children (now 10, 6, and 2) have grown, so has that once-tiny business is now well-known in the babywearing world, and thousands of mothers, aunts, grandmothers and friends use her how-to sewing pages to create baby carriers and much more for the little ones in their lives.
