My name is Diane Pepin. I have been babywearing for 13) years. I have been teaching babywearing classes to parents in my area for 10+ years. I have been helping moms with breastfeeding and babywearing for 10 years as well. I started babywearing when i had my first child in 1996. and that is when I started to make ring slings. A few years later in 1998 I decided to go online where I searched for slings and found Maya Wrap and saw that my design was the exact same as hers. So I went about changing my design. This changed over the year and in the beginning of 1999 I put a web page up and started to do my sling business in earnest. My website is Mothers Helper. I love babywearing. I feel that everyone should have some kind of carrier. Babywearing is so beneficial for both the parent and the child long term, that it seems a shame to let the first 3 years of life go by NOT wearing a child. The long terms rewards are great. I found babywearing even more rewarding when I learned that my 3rd child had a hearing problem. I was impressed that he went 4 years with me not knowing because he read lips so well. He learned to read lips and feel the vibrations of the words because I wore him more than the first 2 children. Over the years my expertise has changed and now I am not just able to teach ring slings, but also wraps and mei tais.
