Beate Frome has worn babies since she was a teenager (nieces and nephews) in Germany. For the past ten years, she treasured every moment wearing her own six children as well as consulting customers on babywearing while distributing German wraps. Wearing a baby is part of daily life. After years of research into safe babywearing, Beate started the first Babywearing Institute in the USA and has been instructing teachers for a couple of years. As a former secondary education teacher and current family constellation consultant, she enjoys the opportunity to teach something so dear to her heart. She is also the designer of the Suse's Kinder line of babywearing coats and accessories as well as the Walter's Organic wraps. Her husband Kurt runs Childrensneeds and supports attachment parenting and babywearing.
