Instructor: Arie Brentnall-Compton



Arie Brentnall-Compton is a Lactation Educator (LE), Certified Babywearing Consultant and co-owner of Tadpoles & Butterflies (www.tadpoles.ca). She specialises in using babywearing to improve breastfeeding outcomes. This includes consulting with government agencies & health care professionals to improve public health outcomes using babywearing. Arie speaks regularly at conferences & workshops & is excited to be a part of the IBC 2010! Babywearing has always been a part of Arie's life, having come from a babywearing family. She has been babywearing since her early teens. When the first of her 3 children was born, one of her first purchases was of course a sling! Arie carried (still does!) all her boys extensively, in a wide variety of carriers. She loves to use all types, but has a special preference for her collection of blue woven wraps (more than 20 & counting) & her late 19th century Welsh shawl.
