Idaho Babywearers President and Library Liason: Angela Taylor
Angela was born and raised in the small town of Arlington, WA which is located half way between Seattle and the Canadian border. Angela comes from a large family where she is number 6 out of seven children. Growing up the only thing Angela wanted to be was a wife and mother (except maybe in Kindergarten when she wanted to be either a police officer or a firewoman). After Angela graduated high school she moved to Idaho to attend Boise State University. While there she met and fell in love with her husband Eric Taylor. When Angela gave birth to her son Kolya she wanted to hold him as much as possible. She had always believed that babies needed to be held. Angela found a snugli at a garage sale and her love for babywearing began. With the birth of her daughter Amira, Angela started using a bjorn baby carrier that was gifted to her and thought it was wonderful. She wore her daughter constantly in the bjorn because that was the only way her baby was content. When Angela had her third child, Cora, her sister gave her a pouch. Angela was thrilled with it because this new baby didn't like the upright position of the bjorn. Luckily Angela has smaller babies, so it didn't get too umcomfortable to wear her babies in the bjorn or pouch until they were past a year old. When Cora was 14 months old Angela met Kimber Tower and Brittney Blackburn at her sons t-ball game. Angela was wearing Cora in the bjorn, Kimber was wearing her baby in a mei tai and Brittney was wearing her baby in a soft structured carrier. A whole new world of babywearing was suddenly opened up to Angela. Kimber took pity on Angela and gifted her a beautiful ball baby mei tai and there was no going back to the bjorn ever again. Now Angela is an avid supporter of babywearing and wants to spread the word to every mom about all the great carriers that are out there. Contact Angela Share on Facebook
