Conference Info
The Babywearing world has changed drastically since the first International Babywearing Conference in 2006. The community of wearers is larger and more global. The growth of Facebook and other social media platforms have changed how we communicate. Local babywearing groups, many under the umbrella of Babywearing International, have blossomed. IBC is growing and changing to keep pace: for the first time, International Babywearing Conference will offer registration interest groups and breakout session tracks in 2016. Each interest group will have a suggested set of breakout sessions, although you will be free to select the sessions that appeal most, regardless of track.
IBC 2016 will start on Thursday, around lunch time, and conclude Sunday around 1 pm at the end of the Keynote. Specific interest groups may have pre-conference events available as well, so please read thoroughly before booking travel. Events are generally scheduled between 9 am and 5:30 pm, although there are some early evening events planned. Meals are not included in the registration price.

CEUs/CERPs were available with many of our sessions for ANCC, IBCLC, DONA, and CBWS.
The Alabama State Nurses Association (ASNA) is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s commission on accreditation. This activity has been provided through ASNA for 24 contact hours if all sessions are attended. Participants are required to attend the complete session and turn in an evaluation for each session attended in order to receive contact hours for that session. No influencing relationships or conflicts of interest have been identified in the planning or presentation of this activity.
Educator
Share ideas, teaching methods and best practices with other educators. Look for sessions on teaching, running a group, fundraising and more. Sessions on the BWI Affiliation and educator accreditation processes are also planned.

Enthusiast
Enthusiasts make the babywearing world go round! Wearing for 2 months or 10 years; 1 wrap or a behemoth stash, an enthusiast can't wait to learn more, wear more, talk to more babywearers and, well, MORE.
